Destinations:

    Day 1 : Arrival in Paro
  • Arrival at Paro International Airport and transfer to Thimphu.
  • En route to Thimphu from Paro, visit Tagchog Lhakhang, a charming temple with historical significance.
  • Tashichho Dzong: Visit the fortress-monastery housing the King’s office and central monastic body.

    Day 2: Thimphu
  • Visit the Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in honor of the third king.
  • Explore Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Point) for panoramic views of the valley.
  • Visit the Takin Preservation Center to see Bhutan’s national animal.
  • Explore the National Library and Traditional Arts and Crafts Market.
  • Enjoy a leisurely day exploring the capital city and its rich culture.

    Day 3: Excursion to Punakha
  • Depart for Punakha early in the morning via Dochula Pass, enjoying stunning views of the Eastern Himalayas.
  • Visit Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of two rivers.
  • Explore Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple, and take a hike across the Punakha Suspension Bridge.

    Day 4: Paro
  • Return to Paro and visit Paro Ta Dzong, the national museum.
  • Explore Rinpung Dzong, a beautiful fortress overlooking the river.
  • Optional hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang), a breathtaking monastery perched on a cliff (additional fees may apply).

    Day 5: Departure
  • Visit Jamphey Lhakhang and Tachog Lhakhang before heading to Paro International Airport for your departure.
